jaclyn & nicol go to birmingham

i have been wanting to see the documentary i am , ever since i saw it previewed on ellen & oprah. (cause thats what i do all day is sit & watch talk shows)

after stalking the website for the documentary for a few months , i was finally able to make a date with my documentary loving friend jaclyn (p.s. courtney was supposed to go also, but she had a headache).

who would have thought that the 2 of us could both get sitters and be able to go to birmingham for a 4:15 show? really!

i picked her up & headed west, we drove to the little town of birmingham, and parked in a metered parking space just outside the theater. jaclyn gets out to smoke & put quarters in , only to find out the the limit is an hour and a half. well us 2 country bumpkins, are thinking to our selves "well how do these city folk see movies? , wonder how much a parking ticket is, here in the birmingham"

jaclyn asks this lovely couple, where we should park. they inform us that there is a parking garage around the corner and 2 hour parking is free. well skip to my lou, sure nuff we drive around the corner and there it is , a big ole parking structure. i go to pull in, only to realize that i think i think im a driving on a side walk, awww shit!

i back the hell up, and pull around the other side, and what do you know, there is an entrance sign with a gate & all.  we find a parking spot & park our MV.

we walk in to the fancy birmingham 8 theater, & purchase our tickets (well i purchase, jaclyns credit card was denied) (the machine was down)

after sitting down in the empty theater we, assume we will be alone (woo hoo), but shortly before the film starts, a retired couple walks in and makes a funny remark about us having the best seats in the house... & i say "well we were here first" ... ha ha ha

its then, that i lean over to jaclyn and ask her if she thinks that they think we are lesbians? why else would two woman, be seeing a documentary together in the middle of the afternoon?

the film was good. be nice to others, and they will be nice to you! we are all connected in this crazy world.

we leave the theater, and as we cross the street to the garage where my MV is parked, jaclyn spots an atm, so she gets cash out to pay me back for the movie, meanwhile, i am stopped by this man to ask if i want ot help him raise money for basketball camp, ya da ya da ya da......
